British Airways beach side event at Hove Lawns

We have just finished doing the flowers for the British Airways beach side event at Hove Lawns – It has been running from the 22nd through to the 27th Aug.

Each day a new BA destination was showcased. We designed storm vases of white scented oriental lilies with aralia leaves in the bases and bear grass with dark glossy green foliage for Italy. On Friday Lanzarote featured, and we made up low vases of white margarites with lemon balm and rosemary. Sunday was Morocco where vases of bright red roses with asparagus fern and flowering fragrant mint were used. Yesterday it was St Kitts turn and arrangements of red gingers (Alpinia purpurata) with tropical foliage was chosen and today (final day) we have just delivered vases of bright pink dahlias to showcase Mexico.

The highlight attraction for the event has been the innovative ‘dine in the sky’ experience where 15 lucky diners are suspended 100 feet over the city and treated to a ‘fine- dining’ lunch or dinner (not for the faint hearted- though I think the champagne helped!!).
